Until then I have a (not so) funny story to tell about my sweet oldest girl. I am sorry if this is giving to much information for many of you but I figured this is mostly family so you won't mind.
The girls and I had to take an emergency trip to Target this morning. There wasn't a single diaper left in the house and wipes were scarce. We go to Target several times a week (mainly to just get out of the house). But today was not the day to go. Maddie has hit her terrible twos hard to the point that I don't know what else to do. Some days trying to change her clothes, much less going somewhere, is like starting WWIII. Today was definitely one of those days. She found any excuse to scream, cry, or throw a fit.
The second we started shopping she was a different girl. As we walked along she would see things that she wanted me to see and tell me all about it and why we needed it. Well,... I made the mistake of walking down the aisle with all the scrub brushes, brooms, and you guessed it... toilet bowl brushes. Which were conveniently at the end of the aisle where EVERYONE (including members of the church we just starting going to) was walking buy. Maddie was a little behind me and Faith and I were already across the "big aisle" when I heard Maddie call "MOMMY!" I turned around to see the cutest face. She was so surprised and proud to have found a toilet bowl brush like she has seen in our bathroom. In as loud a voice as she could muster she said, "THIS IS LIKE IN OUR POTTY WHEN YOU GO TINKLE, MOMMY. YOU BRUSH THE POTTY...LIKE WHEN YOU GO TINKLE!" I don't know many times she said tinkle, but I was mortified and my heart melted at the same time. You should have seen all the people walking between us whose faces were red because they were laughing so hard. I am so glad that we made their day!
*for the moms out there you can understand this, but if you don't have children I just want you to know that my children are not in the bathroom with me all the time. We talk to Maddie about "going tinkle" in her little potty. Recently she informed me that she does not like the potty and only likes diapers. So she has decided that "going to the potty" is only for mommy and daddy.
I think Faith might potty train before Maddie!

Oh how we looove Target too. I always say I would love to get a job there just to play around with all the new stuff. I would have loved to be on the toilet stuff aisle that day to hear sweet Madison, lol, how cute!!
I'm so proud of my Maddie! That's what little ones (at least OTHER people's little ones) are for - to make us laugh, lighten our mood and realize that God has a great sense of humor to allow toddlers to talk before they're five. Just give her time. When Faithy starts to train, you can bet your toilet brush that Maddie will too if she hasn't by that time.
Love my girls and David and miss you all bunches and bunches!
