Oh...how we love Target!

I have been having trouble getting my pictures from my camera to upload to the computer and I don't have the usb cable for the video camera.  There are so many pictures and cute videos of the girls, but they will just have to wait.

Until then I have a (not so) funny story to tell about my sweet oldest girl.  I am sorry if this is giving to much information for many of you but I figured this is mostly family so you won't mind.

The girls and I had to take an emergency trip to Target this morning.  There wasn't a single diaper left in the house and wipes were scarce.  We go to Target several times a week (mainly to just get out of the house).  But today was not the day to go.  Maddie has hit her terrible twos hard to the point that I don't know what else to do.  Some days trying to change her clothes, much less going somewhere, is like starting  WWIII.  Today was definitely one of those days.  She found any excuse to scream, cry, or throw a fit.

The second we started shopping she was a different girl.  As we walked along she would see things that she wanted me to see and tell me all about it and why we needed it.  Well,... I made the mistake of walking down the aisle with all the scrub brushes, brooms, and you guessed it... toilet bowl brushes.  Which were conveniently at the end of the aisle where EVERYONE (including members of the church we just starting going to) was walking buy.  Maddie was a little behind me and Faith and I were already across the "big aisle" when I heard Maddie call "MOMMY!"  I turned around to see the cutest face.  She was so surprised and proud to have found a toilet bowl brush like she has seen in our bathroom.  In as loud a voice as she could muster she said, "THIS IS LIKE IN OUR POTTY WHEN YOU GO TINKLE, MOMMY. YOU BRUSH THE POTTY...LIKE WHEN YOU GO TINKLE!"  I don't know many times she said tinkle, but I was mortified and my heart melted at the same time.  You should have seen all the people walking between us whose faces were red because they were laughing so hard.  I am so glad that we made their day!

*for the moms out there you can understand this, but if you don't have children I just want you to know that my children are not in the bathroom with me all the time.  We talk to Maddie about "going tinkle" in her little potty.  Recently she informed me that she does not like the potty and only likes diapers.  So she has decided that "going to the potty" is only for mommy and daddy.

I think Faith might potty train before Maddie!

pig tails

Hello everyone! (Which is probably only my mom and maybe my sisters.) But if anyone else is stopping by, thank you! This is my honest to goodness second try at blogging. There has only been a few of you that have asked me to blog again. And when I say a few I literally mean just a few (most likely you even know who you are). There are a few reasons I wanted to start writing about the little giggles and silly faces...
..to make me take more pictures
..so that all of our wonderful family can share in our everyday adventures
..to stay connected with friends even across the world so that we don't always feel like we have to "catch up"
..so that someday I can tell our girls that they "really did say/do that"

We are in Arizona now and the girls are getting adjusted to our new schedule. My way of "getting them adjusted" is to totally wear them out. So we spend a lot of time at the playground in the morning and the afternoon. They could not love it more! They are truly outdoor girls. I wish we lived on a bunch of land so they could run as far as they want and stay out and play all day.
The weather is great here, so Maddie takes advantage by not wearing shoes. What is really funny is that she is still super fast! Faith wore pig tails for the first time yesterday. She wasn't too happy when I was putting them in. I made sure I took a few pictures before she had a chance to take them out.

She was saying "cheese"...so cute!
She even stood as still as she could

Faithy also loves her sunglasses! We went to the store today and both girls got upset because they didn't have their sunglasses. The second I put them on...they were as happy as they could be!
